8 in 10 Irish Consumers Say They’re Concerned About Food Waste On the Go as Circle K Announces National Partnership with Too Good To Go
Nearly 80% of Irish adults are concerned about the amount of food they waste on the go, highlighting a clear public appetite for the need to reduce food waste. Alarmingly, 1 in 3 Irish adults throw away food they buy while out and about at least once a week, underscoring the need for more practical ways to reduce food waste in everyday life.
This research comes as Circle K has announced a national partnership with Too Good To Go, the world’s largest marketplace for surplus food, to help prevent food waste across Ireland. Circle K is aiming to have all of its Irish stores on the app by the end of Q1 2026, which will make it one of Too Good To Go’s largest partners in Ireland.
Over 120 Circle K stores across Ireland are now live on the Too Good To Go app. Circle K’s ‘Deal for Two’ Surprise Bags will offer customers a ready-to-enjoy meal (typically two sandwiches and two pastries) worth around €15 for just €4.99,— a great-value way to enjoy fresh food while helping reduce waste. The partnership will offer customers a convenient, ready-to-enjoy option that saves good food from going to waste, saves money, and supports sustainability.
