Account Deletion Policy Compliance | Circle K Ireland Holding Limited (“Circle K”) Privacy Statement

Circle K respects your privacy. Personal details that you provide to us or supply during the process of applying for a fuel card, ordering oil, registering for a newsletter, answering a survey, filling in a form or downloading our mobile application will be held by Circle K in confidence and in compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements relating to the obtaining, retention, processing and use (including use for marketing purposes) of personal data. We comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act, 2018 and aim to maintain consistently high levels of best practice in our processing of personal data.

No personal information will be divulged to anyone or any organisation except Circle K with the following exceptions: We are obliged to disclose details of successful participants in the “Play or Park” Loyalty Game to our charity partner Jack and Jill so that Jack and Jill may comply with its statutory obligations in respect of the lottery licence. We will also disclose information to third parties who process information on our behalf in order to fulfil a service you have requested. For instance, if you order a product from us or sign up for a fuel card your information may be verified by a financial institution, and your email or postal address will be used to send you the product.

We may use your personal details for the following purposes: to register you for our Loyalty Game at your own request; to set up an account; to contact our customers if we need to communicate with them regarding their accounts or to verify bank/credit card details; to contact our customers in order to perform market research; to perform profiling of shoppers’ behaviour in order to try and meet our customers’ needs and to improve the goods and services which we offer.  Unless you indicate otherwise, we would like to contact you with details of offers and information about products and services which we believe would be of interest to you.

Data Deletion

If you want to delete your account, please follow the below steps:

1.     Open the Circle K Ireland app

2.     Tap on the "More" icon

3.     Select "My Account" and then "Profile"

4.     At the bottom of the page, tap on "Delete Account"

5.     Confirm your password and tap on "Delete Account"

Account deletion steps

Upon deletion of the user’s account on the mobile app, their access to the app is permanently revoked. An automated email notification is sent to our supplier support team, who will proceed to permanently remove the user’s name and personal information from our records.
