Topaz (Circle K Ireland) will Raise a Teacup to the Jack & Jill Childrens Foundation this August Bank Holiday weekend, by donating 50c of the Add a pastry for 1 offer in its Re.Store retail outlets to the childrens charity from Saturday August 5th Monday August 7th. The campaign is as part of Jack & Jills 20th Anniversary celebrations, which involve Afternoon Teas held throughout the country to raise money for essential services.
To raise awareness of its Raise a Teacup campaign, Topaz will also be hosting tea mornings at participating sites on Saturday 5th August from 10am-12pm attended by local Jack & Jill families. The tea parties will be taking place in: Topazs Carlow M9 service station; Topaz Cashel, Tipperary; Topaz Ballacolla, Laois; Topaz Kill, Kildare; Topaz Clonshaugh, Dublin; Topaz Ballysimon, Limerick, Topaz City Avenue, Dublin; and Topaz Tuam, Galway. Local customers are encouraged to keep an eye on Topaz Energy on Facebook and @topazenergy on Twitter for full details on these events.
This campaign also marks 200,000 raised to date by Topaz for the Jack & Jill Childrens Foundation, through various campaigns including Small Change for Big Change, and their recent LEGO® Exchange drive, where customers could donate loose LEGO® to Topaz stores to raise money for Jack & Jill. The partnership, launched in 2015, will see Topaz raise 400,000 in vital funds for the childrens organisation and the Raise a Teacup campaign is the latest drive in this initiative.
These campaigns undertaken by Topaz have resulted in the provision of 12,500 hours of home care nursing to date for the Jack & Jill Childrens Foundation.
The Jack & Jill Childrens Foundation, which was founded in 1997, provides direct funding to families of children up to the age of four years old suffering from severe intellectual and physical developmental delay as a result of brain damage, enabling them to purchase home nursing and respite care.
While parenting for most is about feeding, changing, teething, and wishing for a good nights sleep, parenting for the families supported by Jack & Jill involves coping with seizures, feeding tubes and pain, alongside medication, physio appointments and hospital visits.
Sinead Moriarty, Marketing Manager, Topaz (Circle K Ireland): This Raise a Teacup campaign is hugely significant for us at Topaz not only are we continuing to raise vital funds and provide much needed support to this fantastic charity, but we are also celebrating 200,000 of funds raised to date enabling the Jack & Jill Childrens Foundation to continue providing its invaluable services to families around the country. As always, its the continued support of Topaz staff, and the contributions from our customers that makes this possible. I would like to thank all those involved in Raising a Teacup for Jack & Jill this August Bank Holiday Weekend.
Hugo Jellett, CEO of the Jack & Jill Childrens Foundation, said of the campaign: With our 20th Anniversary celebrations in full swing, we are delighted to be raising a teacup with Topaz, and would like to thank them for their continued support for us in this partnership. It is innovative campaigns such as this one that have resulted in Topaz raising a total of 200,000 for us to date and we are already seeing the difference this money is making to the lives of families all over Ireland where children are suffering from severe neurological issues.
I would like to extend my thanks to all Topaz staff, who have been invaluable in these fundraising efforts, and also to Topaz customers for their continued support of our worthy cause.
