Nineteen year old John Carroll from Kilfinane Co Limerick won the two week road trip for two adults, which is valued at 18K after he signed up for the game on the urging of a friend a few weeks ago.
The trip includes the hire of a convertible car, accommodation in top of the range hotels in San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas and Beverley Hills as well as helicopter flights over the Grand Canyon and Los Angeless beaches. The prize also includes 5,000 spending money.
Even though Im a fairly lucky person it was a fair shock to the system. At first I couldnt believe it when I got the call and I thought it was one of the lads messing. But then it sank in and Im still over the moon. My family and friends are in shock as well John said.
And who will he bring on the trip? Well when I was ten my mum Siobhan brought me to Florida so now I can pay her back and bring her to California he joked.
